If we’ve never had the pleasure of meeting each other’s acquaintance, then let me introduce myself. Nice to meet you, I’m Lacey. If we’re close, you’re allowed to call me Lace. Until then, don’t forget the “y”. 🙂
Up until February 2016, I would’ve immediately followed up with what I do, but I’m not going to do that. Why? Because I’m choosing to no longer define myself by what I do, but rather who I am. It’s a journey… an adventure… or should I say, a new chapter that’s recently begun for me. So far, I’ve discovered I’m just a girl who is loved by a God who will never love me any more or any less than He already does right now. I don’t have to do anything to earn His approval. He’s already done it for me. I’ve learned that when you stare into the face of grace, it changes how you see yourself – and it is something that is impossible to recover from. There are more self-discoveries where those came from. Until then, I will dwell in possibility. On second thought, let’s dwell there together.
Other fun, seemingly interesting, random things to know about me are:
Clearly, I have a thing for daisies. Always have. Not sure why. Actually, maybe I do know why?… My favorite Disney movie growing up was Alice in Wonderland. In the opening scene, Alice creates a halo of daisies and places it on her cat, Dinah…I can still feel the happiness I felt just picturing that scene in my mind. Ever since then, I’ve always been strangely drawn to them, and I made Daisies4Lacey my screen name when I was 18. Sure, it’s juvenile, but I just don’t feel like growing up yet. Sorry, not sorry!
Hmmmmm…. What else?… Oh! … I had a brief stint as a Youtube sensation in 2007. My friend, Jake (@Karpediem) documented us getting our Yellow Fever shots in preparation for a missions trip to Uganda. Just so you know, it was the number one video on the travel section for six consecutive weeks and has been viewed over 27,000 times. I even got recognized (once) out in public because of it. Google “Lacey Ware” and it’ll most likely be the first thing that comes up. Go ahead… You know you want to.
Other random obsessions include: iced coffee, Bella Grace magazines, ModgePodge collage projects, Pinteresting, Podcasts, exploring Texas, planning trips to Europe that I’ve yet to take (coming May 2017), tiny homes, Ellie Holcomb’s music, reading anything by Annie F. Downs, NFL football games, documentaries, Netflixing, HGTV, Animal Planet and the History Channel, taking ballet classes, Broadway musicals and their soundtracks, spoiling my two adorable Pomeranians and my deaf cat, kissing on my three nephews, and secret, single girl behaviors that will remain just that – a secret. 🙂
